Searching for best treatment of Osteoporosis no drugs, veggies + fruit

Posted by cindyward. Cynthia D Ward @cindyward, Jul 26 2:14pm

After Lyme Disease, Babeseosis the malaria strain, 5 yrs disabled, was Dxd with RA - 12 years, following latest DX Osteoporosis, and consulting here to find all information I can, narrowing down to Physical Therapy and strictly veggies and fruits.

Will research now for PT in area N CA, and MDs to consult found in NAPA. So feel better than I have for a while when was told I needed a hip replacement and am 84yrs old = spelled pain till I die, to me - as I have heart failure, kidney disease as well! Just glad that I am a life long artist, find this is the best RX combined with PT + diet. Meditation is also a huge part of feeling "Yes I can!"

Veggies and fruit won't help your osteoporosis, unfortunately. Bones need protein.

Maks sure you are taking vitamins D3 and K2, and you're getting enough calcium from somewhere.

cindyward, hip replacement technique and hardware has greatly advanced away from "pain till you die." With your zest you can and will.
I haven't ventured the "no drugs" treatment, but I read about it and can tell you a couple of more obscure things that I've read. Strontium Citrate is talked about a lot and people swear to their success with it. Of course, you'll take calcium and vitamin D. You might want to take K2. Hemp hearts are an amazing source of protein and they taste good. These hearts aren't about drug you Californians have legalized. I'm sure you'll get enough protein from vegetables like soy and lentil. You've probably eaten well all of your life. A little extra weight is sometimes helpful when going through surgery, but I won't suggest the things that I'd make an excuse to eat.
I know you don't want drugs, but I hope you make an exception for the anesthesia and some pain medication for after. Bless you. You make this sound like an adventure. I hope you keep posting.
