Revision knee surgery pain in tibial stem
I had a revision knee replacement on Aug 15. Was doing great for three weeks after surgery. I was walking without walker or cane. Could bend knee to 119. I was doing as good as someone in there 6th week. All of a sudden my leg was burning in my shin and hunting really bad. The Dr said it was the post in my tibia stem adjusting to my leg. Why 3 weeks after surgery. No one had an answer. Has a nuclear bone scan. Showed my leg inflamed. Has this happened to anyone else?

I didn't have the burning anywhere, not that it can't happen. I did have what I thought was a "charlie horse". Went to ER for another leg situation, and that feeling was a blood clot.
I am on Elaquis for a while. The Dr said it was a post surgery clot.
I had a total right knee revision for infection in September of 2024-for the past 6 months I have been having severe shin pain when I walk and was told it is likely end stem pain~no diagnostics or treatment has been offered~ very disheartening as I was a previously very active person- I have been told I should be grateful I can walk 😞
