Relugolix and Sleep
Hello All:
I have been on this drug for over two months. Tests indicated I went from a .93 PSA to a PSA of < .01 in about one month. Side effects from the drug have been; some lack of libido, a few hot flashes, some tiredness in the afternoons and problems sleeping. The first three, loss of libido (at 77 I am no longer a sex addict), hot flashes and tiredness are not significant side effects. However the lack of sleep is becoming problematic. But I must admit overall I feel pretty good; I am exercising and playing golf and eating well.
I have tried prescription sleeping pills, Trazadone, but it doesn't seem to work.
I was hoping I could get some advice from the forum on how they deal with this lack of a sound sleep problem??
I look forward to hearing from the forum.
Nick

I am 77 and was on ADT and Erleada for a year, now off of meds for 18 months. I also had sleep issues, took sleeping pills, Trazadone, which helped some. The sleep cure was being off of drugs for several months.
You could try melatonin gummies.
I use 5mg THC gummies:
-- Indica (NOT sativa)
-- Legal in your area?
My experience:
-- About 1 - 2 hours for full effect.
-- For occasional use only.
-- Oversleeping is possible... and sleeplessness the next night.
-- Frequent urination during the night? Prep for in-bed accident, especially first-time use.

IMRT and 23 mons of zytiga and lupron. Sleep issue was solved w Gabapentin. Good luck
Glad gabapentin worked for you. My oncologist said it works for some; not so much for others. Didn't work for me. I may as well eat a handful of M&Ms.
All:
Thanks everyone for your comments/suggestions. I have tried an over the counter drug to counter the sleeplessness from Relugolix. The product is named "Unisom." One capsule plus one Tylenol and although I often awake to go to the bathroom I do get back to sleep.
