RELIEFBAND for nausea

Posted by ZeeGee @fourof5zs, Jan 6, 2021

I have not been on here the past few days. I have not even read the news letters that are emailed to me. Nausea and vomiting to do with my swallowing has got me feeling awful. Today a little better day. I saw my pain specialist today about my back problem. Neither problem is helping the other. I go for another injection Wednesday next in my right sacroiliac joint.

The doctor said many of his patients have had success with keeping nausea at bay with a RELIEFBAND. https://www.reliefband.com/ . Success.. post-op nausea, motion sickness, many different types of pain, stomach bugs, headaches, and with stomach and swallowing diseases. I am not advertising this product .. just asking about it. Has anyone tried it?? How well does it work for you or did it not work for you?? Have you tried a similar product??

Zofran is not working fo me. Tired of feeling nauseated and vomiting.

Thank you,
ZeeGee

We have used reliefbands for years when on cruises to help with motion sickness. They work very well for us. I also used one when I had a knee replacement in March of this year. Very helpful. They can be found on amazon. I suggest you order the ones with interchangeable batteries.

I hope it’s helpful for you!

Thank you for your reply, Nancy @destinnana . We agreed with you on the one to order (Classic) and my husband ordered it... saying I was worth the shot. I'm glad he thinks so.. or is he just tired of me looking like a ghost or hearing me being sick.

@mikejjb123 , yes I have used the relief band. First, I would recommend the earlier model that has a replaceable battery. The rechargeable model just didn’t hold up very long. The earlier model has a slightly stronger electrical pulse, in my experience.
The results were minimal from this device., I had a pretty severe case of nausea also. There are many reviews that give good ratings on the band, although not so many on here, as I remember. I was desperate for relief at the time, so I tried about everything I could get my hands on. What have you tried? I could share other remedies, as well. Hope it’s resolved soon. Chronic, intractable nausea is a terrible thing!

Thanks for your input. I didn't think it would help much so have not bought it yet. I pretty much have lowered my fiber intake and use a wedge pillow. The nausea is not as bad as before but still have it daily. Trying to find something else to try. I dont eat much fruit anymore either. Would appreciate any other suggestions. What i find annoying is my gastro didn't provide any insight into this issue. I was ready to have surgery on a small hernia which would have done nothing.

Yes, I use the Relief Band .. the one with the replaceable batteries.
I have esophagus and stomach problems and get nauseous often. It works better than Zofran for me. Does it work 100% of the time . No .. maybe about 90% of the time for me. Zofran worked about 50% of the time or less. The Relief Band also helps with my headaches .. I get migraine-type headaches … the band works every time when I catch it early .. and helps most of the time when I cannot get to the band right away. It also helps me with vertigo .. I will take any less spinning I can. I had surgery on my right thumb in 2020 … a few weeks after surgery while I had the band on for nausea I discovered it also helped with my thumb pain. It works much like the TENS machine for that.

Just like for medications .. we are all different and we respond differently to things. It may work great for you or it may not. I have forgotten the guarantee on it and don't remember Amazon's return policy on it. It is still through the company on Amazon .. but you have Amazon's pretty good record of delivery and returns to stand by.

Best of luck in whatever your decision may be.

I have only used the elastic bands- SeaBands- for nausea. How do they compare to the battery ones?

Battery Relief Band was only minimally effective for me. But, I did have a pretty severe case and so, resistant to many different treatments.
