Rebyota treatment for cdiff
Next week I’m getting a Rebyota treatment to help with recurrent cdiff after 8 months, multiple courses of meds and most recently on a tapered vancomycin for almost five months. Has anyone else received the Rebyota treatment? Any side effects and did it help? Thank you!

I received Rebyota 6-4-2024. I don't recall any side effects. There has been some up and downs since then. A couple times I thought I had relapsed. But after testing I was Negative.
My BM's have been different than before the Treatment-but it still beats having Cdiff!
I wish you well and hope it works well for you.
PS- I had 2 regular FMT Treatments by Colonoscopy route previous time Rebyota.
One was in 2023. It did well and lasted 13 months.
The Second one , on 4-15 24 (same GI DR, used Open Biome on both), for whatever reason was a failure from the start.
Hi, @mavans10 - glad to see you've connected with @pixie1960. Tagging a few other members on Connect who've talked about fecal microbiota, live – jslm (Rebyota) for C. diff and whether it helped and if it had side effects @cas924 @epm @lhambright13. @lalaof7 @johnwy @jfperrone @fde11 @terridrag also may have some knowledge of this medication and how it works as well as how it affects the patient.
How are you feeling, mavans10?
Thanks for the information, what was different about your bm’s? Hope your cdiff is staying resolved. 💕
Thank you for tagging others. It has been a very long road over a year of issues including three bouts of diverticulitis with a perforated colon and infection and a week long hospital stay last July on heavy meds resulting in more than 8 mos of cdiff. Alp of the cdiff meds and vanco four times this time on a taper dose and maintenance for four months. Still experiencing abdominal pain and abnormal stools but the extended vanco seems to be keeping cdiff at bay but IBS and other issues with no confidence the cdiff will stay gone if I go off meds. Dietary limitations as everything triggers worse stools and pain. Praying the rebyota helps!
@mavans10 - I certainly hope the Rebyota helps you as well! Sorry you've had such a long journey!
Thank you for the good wishes. My Cdiff is staying at bay so far, thankfully!
As far as my bm's they're kinda all over the place . Shortly after receiving the Rebyota the mostly normalized for a bit. Then they got to the point they were very soft/mushy. At times they were no bigger around than a pencil, but very long. Sorry to be so descriptive.
One thing I forgot , I did have some vomiting , probably four times since receiving the Rebyota (Almost 11 months ago).
Some of this probably my fault as I haven't kept up a very good diet, to be honest.
I do wish you the very best! Keep us updates as I'll be curious how things turn out.
