Reappearing Pain/Discomfort
I had my gall bladder removed laparoscopically 4 weeks ago. Surgery and recovery has gone very well.
A couple days ago, the tender bruised feeling around my belly button came back (it had been gone for roughly 1-1/2 to 2 weeks). I had been sitting at my computer all day (approximately 10 hours). The bruised feeling hasn't gone away since that day.
I have no other symptoms (no fever, redness, etc.)
Does this warrant a follow up with the surgeon? Is this common? (I hesitate to reach out to the surgeons office because they always want me to come in to be seen, they won't ever provide information over the phone and their office is an hour away from where I live.
Thanks so much!

Sitting for that long at a computer could have shifted some of your other organs near the surgical site causing the sensation that you are feeling, however, I think the prudent thing to do is to at least notify your surgeon of the symptoms. Possibly you could do a video visit or a phone call to start and go from there. The fact that the sensation hasn't gone away is concerning to me and I would reach out.
