Rash side effect of Lutathera treatment
My 85 yr old mom received her 3rd Luta Thera treatment for Neuroendocrine tumors in her pancreas. 2 weeks post treatment, she started getting a red rash all over and it has been getting worse. It's very itchy and has been persistent for 3 weeks now. Oncologist says he's never seen it. Has anyone else experienced it? How did you treat it? How long does it stick around? What has caused this? Thanks!

@wkellett: Sorry to hear about your Mother’s discomfort. Rashes can appear for many reasons from strawberries , nerves, liver probs., etc… to drug interactions as you are aware.
I (80yrs) had my 4 sessions of Lutathera from June-Dec, 2024 with no side effect except fatigue. I had great resolution of NET tumors - some disappeared, and for the last 8 months after treatment ended, some tumors continue to get smaller!
So I stay up on how other patients with PRRT Lutathera treatment’s have side effects (minimal complaints) and I have never heard of RASH.
As a non-invasive treatment (aside from radioactive isotope exposure) PRRT Lutathera gets an A+ from me!
I am feeling like my ‘ol self again and sooo grateful to looking at more time to have fun!
