Raloxifene and levothyroxine , do you separate the dosing?

I’ve been taking levothyroxine for hypothyroidism for a number of years. I also have been diagnosed with osteoporosis (in 2018) and have finally agreed to give raloxifene (EVISTA) a try. Neither my endocrinologist nor my primary doctor mentioned that the dosing for each med should be separated by 12 hr, but my pharmacist did. I googled and sure enough there are several case reports of people having to increase their dose of levothyroxine once raloxifene was started. The Package Insert (PI) for raloxifene doesn’t mention it either, but the PI for levothyroxine mentions that tamoxifen could interfere with levothyroxine absorption. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this?

I am on a half dose of Tymlos. My CTX is quite high and my endo has prescribed Raloxifene. He never said that it shouldn't be taken at the same time as Levothyroxine. I have seen online that the 2 medications can interact. My pharmacist was concerned about the possibility of blood clots with Raloxifene. I have an appt with a vein specialist to make sure the veins in my legs are OK. I still haven't found someone who will prescribe bHRT. I think a 12 hour separation between Levothyroxine and Raloxifene is a good idea. Thanks for posting @bufflehead0.
