Radiofrequency Ablation

Posted by twallat10 @twallat10, Mar 8 12:18pm

I have recently been told by Dr. that she would like me to undergo Radiofrequency Ablation for my severe peripheral Neuropathy. Mine has also been diagnosed by a surgeon as Femoral Neuropathy and mostly concentrated in my left knee. I went from wheelchair to walker to cane and I do want to continue but I seem to have plateaued. Is this considered the next step? Pro's-Con's any thing dangerous/permanent about this procedure? As I have said for 2+ years...I could have broken my femur 4 times and healed completely already BUT I am getting nowhere.
Thanks!
Troy

@twallat10 my neuropathy, definitely started from my femoral nerve on my left hip. There was trauma and now it seems to have progressed throughout my hands and feet. Very difficult. Doctors just keep giving me medication.

Same, not asking what they are prescribing for you...but I am currently on;
75 mcg Belbuca film (2 films/day)
2400 MG/day Gabapentin
2000 MG Tylenol/day
Other meds specific for Compensated liver and transplant listing w/ a Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS).

Anyone on anything else? Tramadol?
Thanks,
Troy

I have two dear friends who had it for lower back pain, it only lasted for a few days. Hope you have better luck. I'm sure there are a lot of people who have had long term success. best to all
