Radiation and nausea
I am starting my 2nd week of radiation for Invasive Lobular cancer (no chemo). I have an upset stomach and metal taste in my mouth after I have my treatment. Does anyone else have this, and do you know why this is happening? It is not something they talk about as a side effect.

I was extremely nauseous whit radiation for my breast cancer. They said it was as nerves. I’m not so sure it was. They did give me something for the nausea.
I know I’m not nervous so it can’t be that. I hope the medication helped for you. I will ask for it at my next appointment. Best to you Carrie
I had intermittent nausea with radiation. The techs told me nausea doesn’t happen with breast radiation. I talked to radiation oncologist and he said it was indeed a side effect. He prescribed Zofran which really helped. I finished radiation early May and no nausea now. Ask your doc for Zofran or something like it. (I did not have metal taste).
Thank you so much, I appreciate your feedback
I took a generic Zofran. It did help!! Make sure you ask. You need to be as comfortable as you can be during your treatment. Praying you get some relief.
I had in ductal Ca and radiation but did not have your side effects. I did have to stop the radiation for a week because, despite using pure aloe, I was getting very red.
@janeenbjugstad, how are you doing with the radiation treatment and nausea? Did you ask your oncologist about taking something like Zofran?
