Questionable 2nd-Year Improvement on Tymlos
I just finished my second year on Tymlos, and after calculating the increase in bone density for each year, discovered that my BMD increased just as much in the second year as the first. The Tymlos website says that increases are less in the second year, so I am wondering if the machine I was on (same as the previous year) was miscalibrated. An added concern: The BMD was measured for my forearm as well, but on a second machine (tho same manufacturer) because the first machine had a problem making the measurement. That result showed no change. While I would love to believe that the BMD for my spine/hip increased dramatically over the two years, I am wondering if I should believe the results. I mentioned this to my doc, but she did not respond.

She probably did not respond because she doesn't know.
Yes, I think you are right. I was just wondering if anyone else on this site taking Tymlos has experienced equal gains in the second year.
