PSMA and MRI Results no Metastasis
Just got back from my urology office and my PSMA and MRI show that my Cancer is confined to the Prostate. no Metastasis. I set up an appointment for the RP and to discuss treatment options. I'm thrilled.

This is fantastic news -- congratulations!
Great to read this. 'Thrilled' is a word used here that often. 🙂
Congratulations! Your Gleason was pretty high so you have caught things in time to fix it.
what was your Gleason and PSA ? No treatments. yet ? This is great news anyway , as it appears not to much to worry about other than operation or ? . With the operation you get the advantage of having a 'real biopsy' of sorts and getting the pathology reports that can be very reassuring as well! God Bless to you Sir ! Let us know how you progress .....
My Gleason was 8 and last PSA I got was 11-12. I have my Surgery consult soon. I'm getting my list of questions made to ask the Dr. Surgery will be soon but depends on what treatment(s) they want to do first.
76 y/o, G9, 80% in one core. No micromets on PSMA Pet scan, Starting Orgovyx, 6 or > months, radiation after 3 months of drug. I took the PROSTOX test which showed LOW likelihood of delayed urinary tract symptoms with Cyberknife. (SBRT). [Apparently 10-15% may have delayed urinary tract symptoms. whereas LOW would be 5%. ]This test is not covered by insurance yet. ($500) The Cyberknife standard schedule is 5 visits over 1,5 weeks. It could be 5 visits @ once per week (5 weeks) which should reduce even more so that 5% rate. Sometimes 'boost' seeds are given later I presume if PSA increases? Incidentally 'seed therapy is out of favor in the US but not Europe $$$ money incentives. There are 2 types: Permanent, e.g., palladium which works over 2 months, (pellets remain) and HDR, high dose radiation temporary done on 1 or 2 visits with MRI guidance.
I advise consulting the videos by the PCRI.org founded by a medical oncologist who limited his practice to the
prostate for over 20 years,
