PSA, cancer and life insurance

Hi
Have Gleason 6 stage 1 prostate cancer. Have MRI set for sept and Psa test. They want do 3 months after my Turp surgery.
I applied for life insurance and my PSA was .86. Should i be encoraged by this? Last July was 1.4
Also totally off topic i got declined for term life insurance due to cancer. Any ideas on this please let me know.

With GS6 and low PSA you may be a good candidate for active surveillance (AS), and the PSA not rising lends to this possible path. Your age and overall health are also factors. I'm not familiar with life insurance. Stay positive, get educated, keep the faith!

I am also stage 1 Gleason 6 and on active surveillance. Had psa test last week and it went from 3.2 to 8.56. Hmm. I see Dr. on Tues. Have been on active surveillance for a year. I don't know about the life insurance but have seen ads for companies that offer life insurance for cancer patients. Good Luck and don't panic.
