PRRT treatment how does it work?
My husband has small bowel Neuroendocrine cancer that had metastasized to liver, lymph nodes, and bones he had surgery to remove primary tumor in small bowel, 22 spots from his liver on March 2022. Test showed it was Grade2,well-differentiated tumor. He was treated with 28/day octreotide injection. That worked for 10 months. CT showed 6 new spots on liver. Switched to Lanreotide for 6 months the CT showed too many spots to count on his liver. Next was PRRT in September 2023. He completed in March 2024. He had CT in June2024 it shows no new cancer spots. Stable it shows no Cancer in Pancreas. He has a lot of tumor burden on his liver. His Doctor says the PRRT is still tumor swollen from the treatment yet. My question is it normal for the pancreastatin level to increase from 800 in July2023 before PRRT to now June2024 to a level 5040 ? Has anyone experienced PRRT
