Proton and Photon Radiation Information
There are several now speciality medical facilities that offer proton radiation treatments. These are centers with extensive experience, latest technology, and do first and second opinions.
Mayo, Cleveland Clinic, John Hopkins, UFHPTI, etc. I mentioned UFHPTI as that is where I went for second opinion and received proton radiation there. Mayo Jacksonville only had photon radiation until they build there new cancer center in 2026.
Whether you choose proton or photon or surgery the information packet that will be mailed to you is excellent free information packet. It will explained difference in photon and proton radiation and many of the subjects discussed here like Space/Oar, drinking water, statistics, research, information, and two books on prostate cancer (one is Walsh) free.
I suggest many times on MCC regardless of choosing UFHPTI their information packet is excellent information on prostate cancer and will be sent to you free of charge with no pressure to have your treatment there. Below is that contact information. Call and asked for informatino packet as well as any question you have.
