Prolia to Evenity
I have had about 18 Prolia shots and now they want me to switch to Evenity. Has anyone else done this?

Hola
Quería saber sobre efectos insoportables de Evenity. No me animo a colocarla.
En la heladera cuando se la puede dejar

So, 9 years on prolia. Did you have any other osteoporosis drug prior to Prolia? My biggest question is: what is your doctor's plan for dealing with Prolia rebound?

I began having pain in February 2025 and finally had X-rays in April 2025. There were multiple spinal fractures including acute fractures T 12 and L3. I had kypoplasty in mid June. My posture is bad even after PT and last week I went back to doctor. There is now curvature towards the right side.
I was extremely active before all this happened. It has drastically changed my life. I would never have stopped the drug if I had been informed of the rebound effects. Although I just started Evenity It was interesting to learn that they are manufactured by same company. . I was not informed of the risks associated with stopping the drug. Ask your medical provider questions about all your medications.
@beachmoma16 I am so sorry to hear this! Thank you for sharing and I hope you can heal and recover.
@beachmoma16 Thank you for all of your information and hopefully Evenity will work wonders for you.
@gravity3 I was taking Fosamax, but it made me sick. Still in the thinking stages of what is next...she is researching for best treatment. I think she said 1 year of evenity then some infusion and then back on Prolia.

What I understand is that there is a protocol for discontinuing Prolia after many years taking Prolia. And that is to take one dose infusion of Reclast - to seal in the gains achieved by Prolia- and it must be done on the 6th month date of receiving the next Prolia (which you discontinued). So, if Jan 1, 2026, was your last Prolia injection, the Reclast must be infused on July 1, 2026.
Transitioning from anabolic to anti -resorptive (Evenity > Prolia/Reclast) is generally better supported by guidelines to maintain gains. Not the other way around.
