Post Ileostomy reversal surgery - pain under the right rib?

Hello,
Has anyone experienced pain under the right side of the ribs after a colon surgery?
I am on day 6th post Ileostomy reversal surgery and I am having pain under the right side of the ribs, not connected with physical exertion. I inquired with my surgeon, awaiting his response, hoping for "normal after abdominal surgery".
I recall that I had similar (but different) pain in my left shoulder a few days after my initial cancer removal surgery 10 mo ago that ended up being trapped gas in my stomach as a result of the surgery procedure, took awhile to get the body to absorb it away. Could this be similar occurrence, or it is a sign of something more sinister?...
Any thoughts?
Much appreciated, and wishing you all GOOD health❤️,
EvaG

I was operated 6 month ago for part of the colon recession near the liver. Sigive ma nce then I do not feel well with pain all over my belly plus the other symptoms I've mentioned. Nobody knows here what it is and after being examined by several doctors they seem to up... I will appreciate your feedback as of what is the outcome of your treaqtment and whether or not it is succesful.

Wish you a speedy recovery,
Yoav.

Suggest you speak with your oncologist about a CT or better yet an MRI to look at your liver.
