Welcome to Mayo Connect. I have not had a PET CT, but many MRIs and other CT scans.
This article can provide basic information about PET CT:
https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/pet-scan/about/pac-20385078
Most major medical facilities will have access to PET CT equipment. If your seeing an GI provider or oncologist they will recommend where to have done.
Cost is going to depend on your insurance. Most insurance companies require pre-authorization for CT scans. You can call the number on back of your insurance card to talk to insurance company about pre-authorization, deductible and copayments. The medical facilities' insurance dept will work with insurance company to get pre-authorization. Also, make sure that the location of CT scan is in-network with your insurance company.
Not sure I understand your question about being matched with peers?
Have you been diagnoses with cancer?
Regarding being matched with peers; i'm thinking if that kind of scanning software produces statistical data thats valuable to get aditional info regarding peers in every cohort i.e age, gender, type of diagnosis etc
@middlealex, I believe you are talking about "digital twins" work being done at Mayo Clinic and other institutions to help improve patient care. Here are a couple of relevant articles:

It's an exciting advancement in medical care.
@middlealex: I believe you are asking which PET CT shows best results. Your oncologist will determine scan needed in your case; however, Gallium or Copper PET CT with/without contrast EOVIST is
preferred to show tumor progression.
If there is liver involvement I have gotten MRI w/wo Eovist contrast that shows detailed size of tumors.
Both of the above tests are essential for you and Dr to determine best treatment options.
I found out the hard way that it makes a difference where you receive scans not only in up-to-date equipment, but experienced radiologists in your type of cancer.
You will need to research what facilities are within your location range. I have to travel several hours to City of Hope where they offer this scanning, expert oncology experts and will offer best treatments.
I am grateful to Original Medicare w/sr.supplement insurance that has made my diagnoses and treatment affordable. I hope you can do the same. Best to you…
