Peripheral neuropathy, cold feet when driving car
Peripheral neuropathy, cold feet when driving car. Wasn’t so bad this summer but with winter coming my feet get really cold when I am driving especially going down the highway. Does anyone know of a way to warm up my car floorboards? I use Hot Hands toe warmers But they decrease my sensitivity. Any ideas?

@bcool123, I use the Hot Hands toe warmers myself but along with the toe warmers I use a neoprene sleeve that slides over the socks and the toe warmer and it keeps the toes nice and toasty. If it's really cold outside I general wear 2 pairs of socks and have the toe warmers on the first pair, then the second sock covered with the neoprene sleeves over the toes.

I get cold feet but don't drive I understand it's a condition with PN. My cold feet come on for no reason putting on socks doesn't help but they usually just start to warm up again naturally
Have you done any research to find any complementary or alternative treatments that might help with the cold feet? What works for one doesn't always work for others.

Thanks I haven't because it's not all the time.
I presume you’re turning on the heat in your car and pointing it to your feet only? Depending on your vehicle I have heated seats which work wonderfully all year. You can also consider buying a seat heater sold for truckers I believe but not certain. You do realize the cold is nerve related unless you have circulatory issues and not matter how much heat is applied you may not feel it! Just a thought.
