UTI's can cause bladder spasm which can trigger bleeding. I could scare you with stories of bleeding. Drink lots. Cranberry juice is supposed to be good for uti. Good luck. There are med's to help with spasms. Check with urologist.
I went to emergency room. I have a bladder infection. I have been given cefpodoxime 200 mg. Just seems weird bleeding would be caused by moving around. Question is how do you know when you have a spasm? I am familiar with muscle spasm. Not sure what bladder spasm is. Is that just nonstop peeing. I thought that was part of the incontinence from surgery
I'll be brief. I had prostate cancer surgery June 6th, 2022. I had heavy blood flow mixed with urine for the first month or so. It gradually tapered off, although I still wear the adult pampers. I am 70 years old.
My younger brother, who is in much better shape than me, tells me that when he goes on long bicycle rides his urine shows some blood. It clears up in a day or two.
My bleeding flow isnt heavy. Just a little blood at the end shows up. Thing that gets me it only does it when i walk around. Whole rear end hurts followed by tiny bit of bleeding. i am wearing adult pampers myself. Another thing that gets me is sitting is ok. But when i stand the faucet opens up. I am 69 years old. i am using the incontinence clamp too, helps some.
Just an fyi..cranberry juice can not cure an infection. It might alleviate symptoms and allow spread to kidneys.. from someone that lived through this exact situation, complete kidney failure 3weeks hospitalization just beware..
Infection seems to be clearing now-fingers crossed. i appreciate the input. Not sure why they didnt take urine sample after removing catheter, could have saved me a lot of pain and aggravation. Still deling with oncontinence though.
