Pap follicular- help with treatment options
Got diagnosed with Papilary follicular going to have my whole thyroid and left lymp node chain removed it was only detected in one lymph node.
Nodule on thyroid 2mm
I want to avoid radioactive iodine therapy because after reading the second cancers risks , side effects and effects on fertility I don’t see how that could be needed for the small likelihood it comes back, we would love to have one more child etc
Has anyone else declined Radioactive iodine therapy? Thank u in advance for help🙏🏻🫶

Hello I also had my thyroid removed in march of 2020 it for cancer , And 1 Lymph node with with cancer I also declined the radioactive iodine Because of secondary things and just not being sure, I'm am monitoring now and my endocrinologist orders is blood work every 6 months And a ultrasound depending on my blood results There have been suspicious spots that they have seen but nothing that makes me have to do anything else at this point just monitor it. Good luck to you on your decision.
