I created this space to be able to connect with those who are attending the pain management rehabilitation program. I will be starting June 12th.

Started 2 weeks ago with another 3 weeks to go. I attend twice per week at 4- 4.5 hours per session. Sessions are conducted by qualified health professionals and so far quite good and starting to see a very little in pain relief. Brisbane, Australia.

Could you find out whether this program has a list of practioners throughout the US (or world) that share their philosophy? I'm thinking that they would have local resources for people who graduate from their program since it isn't feasible to keep traveling to Mayo. I'm looking for someone local who has a similar outlook, since I am not well enough to travel to any of the Mayo locations. They are all about 20 hours from me. Thank you for any input you can give! Best wishes to those who are starting their journey. My husband attended the outpatient program for 3 weeks in Rochester, fall of 2023. It’s been life- changing for him; while it’s challenging to sustain the mindfulness, meditation and techniques that he learned at Mayo, he embraced the concepts, and he is in a much better place mentally than he was before the program. We have compiled a patchwork of complementary providers (a DO for osteopathic manipulation therapy, a counselor for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Pilates, some virtual mindfulness sessions through our health care system) to try to duplicate the Mayo program. Unfortunately, some of these resources are out of pocket expense for us, but we feel like it helps.

i don't know anything about this pain mgt program of which you are speaking. I am DX with CRPS & was in a pain mgt program in Pittsburgh but moved to Ohio and thought it would be easy to transfer BUT there is NOTHING here and I cannot get any meds RX's to me here in Ohio. It's also hard to find an acupuncturist who can do the same type of treatment. I am very frustrated and in terrible pain. I welcome your suggestions. SEARCHING.....
