Pain in the leg after using Trimix

Curious to learn from the Post RP surgery readers that have had to resort to using Trimix to achieve an erection if after having intercourse do you have pain in your legs? As I’m now having a temporary discomfort on the shin and calf muscle area. I’m now 57 years old and had the surgery nearly two years ago. Have been using Trimix for nearly 1.5 years with mixed results due to changes in the formula from the pharmacy that caused pain not only in the leg but also in the penis post intercourse. Changed pharmacy and the new compound is the same mix that the original provider formulated that provided good results but recently the discomfort started again. Welcome your input if you’ve experienced similar side effects. Have my next 6 month follow up call with the Urologist and plan to also mention it to him. Luckily my recent ultra-sensitive PSA test once again is as close to Zero as can be - that’s a good trade off for the little pain and prick of the needle!

No pain in leg, but I did used to get penis pain after use. Dr. switched me from Trimix to Bimix, which helped. That was a while ago. I am back to Trimix without pain.

@florida11 Thanks for sharing! I gave up after Trimix kept giving me severe penis ache during the erection. Did going to Bimix help you adjust to Trimix, or did you just finally hit the right dosage and injection point combination?

It might’ve been a combination. I’ve always struggled with Trimix causing prolonged erections. Even now, I only use three units out of a 100 unit syringe and I find myself having to use the treadmill after a few hours to bring it back down. I was using even more Trimix back then and the prolonged erections were the primary reason I made the switch to Bimix. I switched back because I think the results are better with Trimix and with the lower dose, I don’t have the pain anymore.

Had my latest 6 month follow up with the Urologist two years since RP and mentioned the pain issue and he suggested if I wanted to switch to Bimix but may not work as well as the 3rd ingredient is what provides the best results. I’ve had to increase the dosage to 5 units with the current formula to get a desirable result. Have just become accustomed to the discomfort, it’s a trade off…

@gilbert1 I tried Trimix 8-10 times, experimenting with dosage, and finally gave up. My last two tries were 3-5 hour painful erections, killing any libido. Prostaglandin is that magic third ingredient. If you try Bimix, let us know your results!
