Pain in my side
I have a pain in my left side. Ct scan shows nothing wrong. Doctor said it was constipation and muscle. I’m taking murals and corrected the constipation. Physical therapy is not helping the pain. I have significant osteoporosis and have been on Prolia for about six years. I’ve lost about two inches in height. Could this pain be coming from a lower rib sticking me in my side? No pain when I lie down or stretch my arms up high. Pain when walk or move a certain way. Anyone have any advice?

I’m taking Miralax. Not murals. Typo.
hi @elizabeth1, where is the stenosis. It could be causing the foot tingling or the pain in your side. Often with osteoporosis compression fractures are first evidenced as muscular pain. How long ago was the CT. Have you lost six inches while on Prolia or before Prolia. Are you engaged with your endocrinologist about this side pain.
CT scan was a couple of months ago. Doctor says tingling is probably from spinal stenosis. I lost two inches over the past ten years. The loss was mostly before Prolia.
Where is your pain on the left side? Lower left like over the buttock area or upper left like over the mid-trunk? The reason I'm asking is that the pain could be from herniated disc or discs. I had terrible pain on my left side over my buttock and I had just fractured my L4. I thought that the pain was from the fracture. My physiatrist (rehab MD) says that the intense pain was not from the fracture (from severe coughing fits that lasted a few weeks) but from severely herniated discs as a result from the intense coughing. The pain was never near my spine area but only on the left side and radiated down the outer left thigh. My doctor said my MRI showed a number of severely herniated discs and the location of my pain was not indicative of typical vertebra fracture pain. Did your doctor suggest an MRI?
I have herniated discs seen on an MRI. Thank you for helping me solve the problem. Wow.
Is the pain also towards the back which could be sciatica .
I haven’t lost any inches since prolia shots. My left side pain after an xray yesterday is muscular. And yes maybe the stenosis is a contributing factor. My feet tingling at night for sure. So I’ll be doing my stretches through yoga and pt. Thank you for your support.
