Ozempic and adhesions

I’ve been approved for Ozempic but suffer from severe adhesions. Two trips to ER in the last two years and 2-3 other blockages solved with Milk of Magnesia. Anybody with adhesions taking Ozempic?

Hi, @mesamike - sorry to hear about the two emergency room trips in the last two years, plus 2-3 other blockages you addressed at home.

To be sure to connect you with the right members in this community, I'm wondering if you are diabetic, as you were approved for semaglutide (Ozempic)? Also, you mentioned having adhesions. While I know that abdominal adhesions are quite common, I know they can also occur in a number of other locations in the body. Where are your adhesions?

@mesamike perhaps you could put your post to the Diabetes & Endocrinology Group where the diabetics hang out. Maybe @lisalucier already did. She is one of the fantastic MCC moderators. Adhesions are nasty for sure but I’m not sure I see any connection to Ozempic. Hopefully some other members will weigh in on this soon.

More familiar with Crohn’s disease/ flare up ,blockages in my small intestine. Then operated on to remove 2&1/2 feet of intestines .Left with many adhesions . I think my stomach is a forest of them.
