Off Anastrozole and Letrozole after a year

The joint problems caused by these drugs made me crippled. My knees could not support me. I stopped them two months ago and the trigger finger stopped snapping forward, but the knees are still painful. I'm in PT to make them stronger but am wondering if they will ever be ok again?

Other symptoms are slow down. Also it made osteopena change to osteoporosis, so now need treatment for that.

Anyone else "recover" from these drugs and get their joints functional again?

I, too had trigger finger in both hands after starting letrozole. The effects were gradual and began about 4 mos after starting. My first dexa prior to starting ai indicated osteopenia and 2 years into therapy progressed to osteoporosis. I also had joint/muscle pain and foot neuropathy that made standing upright from the bed or desk very hard. Due to these side effects, my dr. had me discontinue after two years into the five year treatment plan. It took a few months but no more trigger fingers or joint/athralgia! Yay! Unfortunately, I cannot take Tamoxifen so praying that I stay free of disease! I feel much better and more my age (63) now, as at the time (61,) I felt like a very old lady. I would have kept with it if not for the bone deterioration, though.

I was put on letrozole and had to stop on the fifth day because I got TN (Trigeminal Neuralgia) which felt like an ice pick had pierced my left ear. I then went on anastrozole but stopped after a few months.

Besides the TN I also got trigger fingers. With therapy (OT) my trigger fingers are much better. I permanently lost most of the hearing in my left ear and sometimes still get pains and stuffiness in it.

I am in my 80's. If you check the website https://www.ehealthme.com, which I definitely recommend;
