Numbness from toxic chemicals in bleach
I used a lot of bleach to clean a stained toilet bowl and used my bare hands. I know it is a bad mistake. Now my palm, lower right thigh, and feet are numb. some parts are not as numb as others. It has been there for 3 weeks. please PLEASE help. I have been told it takes weeks, months, and I need to eat a lot of Vitamin B. Yes, I know. But I am anxious and I need to work, I have no one to rely on if this pursues. Please tell me if there is any other solutions that have personally worked.

@orangejuice Welcome to Mayo Connect I am sorry to hear about your symptoms, but also puzzled. The numbness you describe is not a known effect from exposure to bleach on your skin or by breathing the fumes. Was the bleach mixed with ANY other cleaner or substance? That can complicate the issue.
Disseminated neuropathy can be caused by many things. Have you seen your primary care provider?
@orangejuice
Definitely see your primary doctor for blood tests to check for toxicities and deficiencies. Check blood sugar.
Supplements that can help with neuropathy would be vitamin b12, alpha Lipoic acid, Acetyl l carnitine, etc.

That burn? Here’s the human-toilet but not thepapper9nes.
I have. They told me to close my eyes, tried to lift my fingers up and down and told me if i could feel anything. I told them I can, but, if they were to pinch my palm, i can’t feel pain.
