numb hands post carpel tunnel release

Wondering which likelihood is causing post carpal tunnel release to have numb fingers. Complicated factors. 2 weeks post surgery everything was great. Only had tingling and numbness when sleeping. Have had carpal tunnel for years. initial consult resulted in incidental finding of mild to severe high grade cervical stenosis, which was followed for years. Was told to get the CTR. Now, during a PT procedure, called the Graston technique, first thumb went immediately numb, then other fingers of same hand. 4 months later the hand is much worse and now creeping into forearm. Wondering-actual cause. Also have thoracic and lumbar stenosis, so this is complicated. Any thoughts? Setting up visits, but -[wondering if anyone has had similar experience.
