Not sure what is going on

Posted by ssalib @ssalib, Mar 3 10:54am

I am experiencing so many weird symptoms and my doctor can’t figure it out. I have brain zaps, my leg muscles feel weak and when in rest they shake and I have muscle twitches.
I am constantly tired and been in bed on and off for weeks. I have no desire to eat or drink and have dropped on weight.
All my bloods are fine and urine and stool sample ok.
Waiting for neurology appt. What should I be asking the neurologist.

Welcome @ssalib, Hoping you get some answers at your upcoming neurology appointment. If it were me, I would write down a list of all my symptoms and prioritize the list and add any details I could remember about when you first noticed the symptoms.

Did your symptoms come on all of a sudden or did they occur over a period of time?

That’s a good idea, thank you. I will make a list with dates. Started around June but got better then came again in December then this last bout since Jan 30th. Very upsetting as my doctor thinks it’s all stress as bloods are all ok.

Biopsies for small fiber neuropathy
EMG/ Nerve conduction test for peripheral neuropathy.
You need to see a neuromuscular neurologist they specialize in neuropathy EMG. Has your thyroid been checked when I for get o take my medication for a couple of days I get nauseous and vomiting.
Here is blood work the doctors normally want.

That’s super helpful. I was hoping that when I see the neurologist he will suggest a raft of tests including a biopsy to figure out what’s going on.
The lack of energy and sleep and weak legs is really depressing now.
