PAC-MANN, New Diagnostic Blood Test?
I’ve have been reading about a number of new diagnostic blood tests for early detection of cancer, including PAC. Specifically a test called PAC-MANN which has published an 85% accuracy rate when used with the CA-19 blood test.
The researchers created a non-invasive test using blood samples from 350 patients from OHSU’s Brenden-Colson Center for Pancreatic Care.
Has Mayo been participating in these trials? What can anyone share?
If not, how could Mayo patients find out where, and how they could voluntarily participate for these tests. In addition, would the Mayo team refer a patient willing to do so?
Thank you.

@mikewdby, this looks like promising new research:
- New blood test identifies hard-to-detect pancreatic cancer with 85% accuracy https://news.ohsu.edu/2025/02/12/new-blood-test-identifies-hard-to-detect-pancreatic-cancer-with-85-accuracy
You can also read more about early detection research at Mayo Clinic here:

To find out about current clinical trials or how to be referred, I would start by contact Mayo Clinic Clinic Trials:
