Neuropathy - unable to eat
Question I understand the dysautonomia, SFN can cause nausea.
I haven’t been able to eat the last two weeks because I throw up. Can drink water that’s it. I have lost weight. At what point so you go to the ER? I have been taking phenergran with no luck.

Hi @artemis1886, We added a little to the discussion title to help members find your discussion. Can you call your primary care doctor? If it were me and it has been going on for a few weeks, I would go to the ER if I wasn’t able to see my PCP.
No temperature. They told me nothing to worry about. I have had it before but never lasted this long.
@artemis1886
I agree with @johnbishop in going to ER asap if you are not able to eat for that long and you haven’t spoken to your primary doctor. Do you have someone who can drive you?
Have you been drinking water with glucose/electrolytes? Have you tried meal replacement shakes/ensure? It is important you don’t let your blood sugar drop too low.
Hi,
Because of the stage of your Dysautonomia I wouldn't be hanging around waiting to see if it self cures. You don't have the time to wait.
Good luck.
Cheers
yes, go to ER.
Please.
@artemis1886 Just checking to see if you have been able to eat anything and how you are doing. Did you decide to go to the ER?
I have not been to the ER.
I could keep down some baked chicken and some fruit. Watermelon and Dragonfruit no grapes too sweet, pineapple too acidic, but I did eat some cantaloupe. I have always thrown up red meat. It’s too heavy on my stomach.
Eggs I have to force myself to eat.
I have gone through this before but last time it lasted about a month then I could eat. I am just getting really weak. The GI doctor thinking about rescoping my stomach I have stomach ulcers and nodules. Last October when he did the EGD he said I was close to stomach cancer. So I am waiting. He said if I can’t eat at the end of the month he will do another EGD.
I’m sorry you are going through all that. When I first came down with PN 2 years ago I lost 40 pounds because I could barely eat. Doctor thought I might have gastroparesis. It did eventually correct itself. I hope yours does also like before. Praying for you 🙏
@artimis have you had an MRI of your trunk? That would be the first think that would come to mind when he stated your stomach was close to developing cancer. I hope you’re getting some answers? Your symptoms are very concerning and I hope you obtain some relief too.
My white count, neutrophils severely low, tested positive Sjogrens tested positive for connective tissue disease, tested positive for low red blood cell count there’s some labs were still we are still waiting on. My sed rate is really high but my Ana normal it normally high. I am just really weak. The doctors say I have some anemia going on plus weight loss. My mouth is all broke out in sores and my legs are weak it’s hard to stand up. Tested positive thyroid peroxidase aka autoimmune disorder of the thyroid. I have hypothyroidism but this they are saying also Hashmitotos disease.
