Neuroendocrine of pancreas

My sister has Grade 3 pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor with liver nodules.
She was initially treated with CapTem, but it didn’t work, so the doctor switched to Etoposide and Cisplatin. She has completed 6 cycles of this chemotherapy, and also receives a monthly Octreotide injection.

After the 6th chemo, she started experiencing stomach pain, frequent bloating, and repeated drops in potassium levels. She often needs to be admitted to the hospital for potassium correction.

Currently, she is hospitalized again for the same reason. The ultrasound shows mild fluid (ascites) in her abdomen.

We are from India. Has anyone else faced similar symptoms during or after treatment for this type of cancer? Any shared experience or advice would really help. 🙏

I had a similar condition. Received Fluorouracil (5-FU), and Oxaliplatin, and six cycles was about all I could take as well, even with the dose reduced. I found PRRT easier to tolerate.
