Nerve Pain in Arm and Hand Following GBM Resection
My husband had resection of a GBM 4. After slowly regaining use of his left arm and hand he has quite a bit of pain. He has had an MRI, a pain conduction test, and takes meds for it. Nothing seems to help. In fact it is hurting now more than ever. It took about 2 months to regain use, but now he is pain all the time unless it is supported. Has anyone else had this experience? Did anything help? Thank you for sharing.

Hi Jo,
I'm tagging a few other members -- @sandydominy1 @cbrice @user_che69bc66 @dfelix @IndianaScott @barbkaser -- who have experience with glioblastoma to see if anyone else has any experience with nerve pain following surgery.
Being in constant pain is so tough on everyone - your husband for sure, but also you. When you say "he is pain all the time unless it is supported" do you mean supported by medication or physically supported under his arm?
Sorry about the lack of clarity. The arm needs to be supported. His Physical Therapist advised using a rolled up towel when sleeping. It offers minimal assistance. Normal activities are increasingly painful.
Fortunately, we haven’t had that problem. We are coming up on 2 years, 2 mos. We feel extremely
blessed
Thank you. It may be radiation related.
