Nerve ablation for neck and shoulder area

I have arthritis in my neck and the narrowing of facet joints 4 and 5. I did have the test for nerve ablation and I was pain free for a very short period of time afterwards. Has anyone had this procedure for the neck? I see some have for the lower back. I was told even if it worked I would be sore for at least 2 weeks afterwards. In the meantime I have a body worker (Alexander technique) and also private pilates lesson once a week which helps the pain for a short period of time. And I was told if it worked it could be for a few months, up to a year. Thanks.
