Nausea and pain every time my son eats

My 10 year old son has been sick for 25 days, he's lost 5 lb in 10 days because he can't eat every time he eats his stomach hurts and he has nausea. It got so bad he's screaming in pain, I took him to the ER and they did a CT with contrast and gave him morphine and that didn't even help all the tests are coming back normal we are so exhausted and frustrated!!! He is such a strong boy, it's been hard watching him in so much pain and being so sad!!

Welcome to Mayo Connect. How terrible to see your son in pain and not have a solution. Though most of us are not medical professionals, we can share our experiences.

Would you be willing to share more information about the tests they have performed? Has he had an endoscopy to look inside the stomach?

What are the providers suggesting for the next step?

Hida scan? My daughters tests all came back negative and took 3 months to get hida scan and showed gallbladder not functioning. Only test that shows that. Alot of pain, constant nausea, lost 25 lbs.
