Natural treatments for certain cancerz

I have a friend that has cancer not prostrate cancer and is taking peptide; who says that others have taken with "good succesz" he is seeing a oncologist who recommended chemo then after surgery. I don't want to get on ho and his wife's business,; just wandering if anyone in here has any comment.

“Good Success” meaning what exactly?
These tales of beating cancer with natural, holistic, herbal and other means are like that old Norman Rockwell painting: My friend heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend, etc…
Mostly anecdotal bunk with no hard facts to back up any of the claims made; that’s been my experience anyway.

There was an article in The Economist last week about peptides in general, not specifically for cancer, and that it is mostly hogwash.
