I benefit from long soaks in the tub with Eason salts and essential oil. I lay down a few times a day . I feel like my neck muscles get tired holding my head up. If you choose to take naproxen and Tylenol, stagger them, don’t take them at the same time and take them round the clock, not just as needed. You might try alternating heat and cool packs , 20 minutes every 2 hours as able. It’s possible the neck disc is causing neck muscles to spasm. If this is the case can try acupuncture, dry needling, trigger point injections, baclofen or Valium. If the trigger point injections work, Botox may be an option.

It might Be time to have a surgery consult, or perhaps pain management if your current doctor is not willing to give you anything stronger than naproxen and Tylenol.

If you are older, have your kidney function checked periodically while on naproxen and consider something like Pepcid or lansoprazole to prevent stomach ulcers.

Do what you can to maintain good sleep habits.

Consider focused PT by someone skilled with your condition

Try massage. May help or make things worse

Please be careful with using NSAIDS regularly. I ended up in the emergency room and had to have a blood transfusion due to gastric bleeding caused by using NSAIDS for years
