@omarfather Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I hope that others will be able to respond about their experiences. It must be heartbreaking to see your son struggle, and bless you for coming here for support!

You don't mention how old your son is, or what treatments for his apraxia he may be going through. I think having a dedicated medical team that works together to give your son the best chances possible, is very critical right now! Do you have that in place?

Thank you for your kind words. My son is five years old now
We started experiencing symptoms of autism three years ago
Since then, I have been going to rehabilitation centers for skills and speech, but he has not spoken yet, even though he spoke normally until the age of two and two months.
As for apraxia and hyperactivity, the diagnosis was made only a week ago, and since then I have been very sad and feel bad.
In my country, Egypt, most centers are more concerned with profit than with children, and a large percentage of them are fraudsters and do not have the academic degrees qualified to treat such diseases.
I do not have the opportunity to join one of the centers every period of time until my son improves, but this has lost three years of my son’s life so far. All I hope for is to find a center that makes progress in treating my son.
All centers do not provide physical treatment, but only training sessions

@omarfather Is there a chance your son's doctor can recommend a place for you to go to get assistance? Learning how to help your son in his day-to-day living, giving him positive experiences and help can be rewarding for you both. If there is a large teaching hospital that you can access, it may be of help.

Here is a link to the Egyptian Autistic Society, who might be able to give you some information: https://www.autismconnect.com/directory/the-egyptian-autistic-society-in-egypt-2969-directory

I know how hard this is and feel your pain as I'm in your same shoes. Sending hugs your way. My son is five as well and has been diagnosed with ADHD and Apraxia of Speech. We have him in speech therapy five days a week. We learned a lot about the diagnosis from the Apraxia Kids website (google Apraxia Kids, it won't let me post the site) in case you haven't seen it yet. What we've been told is that it just takes time. One mom told me that her son started spontaneously speaking at the age of 13 with his autism diagnosis. It's hard. Very very hard. Please know you're not alone.

Hi Omarfather,
What a sad situation you and your son are in! That must be very difficult for all of your family. I have very little experience around autistic children except to note that all I have seen or been with have been very sweet loving children. Your son was created by God. God loves him and you. You need to pray and ask God to help your son. Pray often and I'm sure God will answer your prayers. After all, you live in Egypt which is where God parted the red sea so the Jewish people could escape being killed by the Pharaoh. If God could do that in Egypt all those years ago, I'm sure he will certainly help your son who also lives in Egypt.
I wish you the best and will say a prayer for you and your son.
