My hair gives me a headache when straight?

Posted by citruslad @citruslad, May 5 3:48am

So to preface this: i have naturally thick, pin-straight hair. Right now its shorter, and usually i curl or wave it (i like the way it looks and feels better). However im pretty sure that when i leave it straight (ive noticed this recently and its been a thing when my hair was long too) that i usually have either a days long mild headache or worse headaches on and off through the day.

Anyone know why this may be?
(Just as a side note this happened before i regularly curled it too)

Hey There! Thick hair can tend to cause headaches, because it is heavy on the scalp and can weigh the head down. Have you thought about having your hair texturized? This is when the hairdresser goes in with special shears and does some thinning. It will grow back as thick as ever before.

Also, do you wear your hair up a lot? That can cause headaches.

You are so blessed to have very thick hair. Blessings & Prayers for those headaches....
