My CHROMOGRANIN A test
My CHROMOGRANIN A test shows a reading 0f 1971 what does this mean. I completed throat cancer 3 months ago and was informed it is gone then this test came back. My Dr has set up a scan to check on this we did do an oral scope but found nothing. It just worries me not understanding the results.

I don't think that test alone tells you much. It's my understanding that other things besides cancer can make that number high. There is another recent thread talking about this test.

Why continue the testing. I had cancer in my appendix. Test numbers always high but no problems. Seems
Like a waste if nothing is able to show up.
