My biopsy is scheduled soon on my upper right thigh (sarcoma)

Since cancers have been in my family and the look on the doctors face , says it all .. I am already assuming a sarcoma in my upper thigh . Of course I do not like what I read and have been emotional since my evaluation yesterday .. Has anyone had a sarcoma removed in upper thigh ? I like to know what I am in for moving forward . Please respond .. I can deal with a lot being a NYC kid at heart , my 10 year old boy is my biggest concern . This part of life is difficult . My father passed away when I was 27 of prostrate . I am now , Same age group as him and now it’s my turn .. A different event yet in the same ball park .. . Can people survive a long time getting these sarcomas removed ? I never thought I would be reaching out …. I just know something is not right …. I know my body . God Bless everyone here .. I get it …

The growth is under the skin in upper right thigh sort of near crease of hip.few inches,, i call it an alien under my skin,, get this out of Me. of course this bothers me from time to time certain pain comes and goes. i am a contractor and i need to move. not physical any more. just being the boss. We set up a biopsy for monday... I really enjoy encouraging words from a woman who has been through a lot in this life. God Always bless you for your strength. And giving positive vibes to unknown people like me...... This gives me strength no matter what they find. Bellsina ,,,,if i have to battle i will.

@rond306, I agree with @bellsina71. You don't want to assume the worst case scenario and leap to sarcoma. However, you know that there is something not right and you have a family history of cancer, so you're taking care of your health.

What testing have you had to rule out cancer and find a diagnosis? When do you expect the results?

You have a growth in your upper right thigh? I have growths all over my body, but usually these growths are nothing to worry about and usually are just calcium buildup or fatty tumors. I seriously would not worry about this too much! I have had numerous lumps and bumps removed on my body, I've had them on my breasts on my arm on my back on my thighs, I have one under my rib cage. I have oncologist since I've had cancer twice, and he feels these and looks at them and isn't worried about a single one of them unless they bother me....
I just don't want you to be worried about something that's probably not going to be anything life-threatening. 😃
