Glioblastoma treatment: What helps belching & hiccups?

Posted by catk2024 @catk2024, Nov 13, 2024

In August of this year, Harry was diagnosed with Glioblastoma after we thought he was having a stroke. They were able to remove 90% of his tumor. He is currently undergoing radiation and chemo. Harry will celebrate his 74th Birthday this month. He has recently been having a lot of belching and hiccups. Has anyone come across anything to help stop or lower such symptoms?

@catk2024, while burping and hiccups are nuisances we've all experienced, cancer treatments can make them unending and very difficult to manage. You will find some helpful tips in this related discussion:

- Have you ever had hiccups with or after chemotherapy?

Have you or your friend told the symptom management nurse about the burping and hiccuping? They may have medication that can help prevent or manage the side effect.

What chemo is Harry getting?

The chemo medication is Temozolomide.
