MILD procedure L4-L5

Posted by judymehaffey @judymehaffey, 17 hours ago

I was a gymnast in my youth, competing through 4 years of college resulting in numerous injuries and surgeries. The biggest ongoing problem I encountered later in life was spinal stenosis. Ten years ago after several injections I got complete relief. Unfortunately, the pain is back with a vengeance and injections on longer work. For 2 years I have been in almost constant pain. Last week I had the MILD procedure and the second and third day post procedure were the most painful days I experienced. Now 7 days later I am still in constant pain when standing and walking. Has anyone gotten relief in a short period of time after the MILD procedure?

I have basically the exaact same story.
Mine was L2-L5 MILD
It got worse for awhile after the surgery, Couldn't even hardley get around on a walker.
I was told that the area can fill with blood and cause more pressure.
I got prescribed prednesone and that helped get back to pre surgery pain levels.
I did not have any improvement until week 5. It was depressing.
Now my left leg improved a lot but not the right.
Hang in there and give it some time.
Good luck

Yes my husband had the MILD procedure March 2025 and has done very well. Still lower back pain but buttock and leg pain gone. So far satisfied with the procedure.

How long did it take for him to get any relief?

@jlssurplus Thanks for the support. It is so depressing everyday that goes by without and relief or change in the pain. I will try to remain hopeful.
