Melanoma: how do you just wait for three months?

First, I want to thank all of you who have opened discussions or added comments. Sensing your presence out there, your hopes and concerns, has made me feel much less alone, and strengthened my hope for dignity and courage. I've had two excisions, the second reportedly clean, and one 3-month exam which found no adverse changes. So now I wait again. Is there nothing I or someone could be doing? I've watched my brother and one of my best friends die of melanoma.
