Medicare eligibility

Where can I get information on what equipment, procedures are eligible for Medicare coverage or also can be used as a claim for income tax benefits? My friend told me at tax time she always includes the purchase of one pair of shoes.

Medicare.gov has some information. I have gotten information on sites like this one that is helpful. Also, most medical supply stores are familiar with what’s covered and what kind of prescription you need. I have type 1 diabetes and plantar fasciitis and I still haven’t found a doctor who’ll write a prescription for shoes. I’m not giving up though.

I find the stress of being audited is not worth writing of things, but an accountant would be the best person to ask. As far as Medicare if it’s the government one you can call 24 hours per day. If you are unfortunate and on a medicare disadvantage plan good luck getting anything covered at all.
