Mayo Clinic Rochester Appointments -- What to Expect
For anyone who's had an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, I'd appreciate any advice on what to expect. Did you just have a consultation, or was that followed by any testing that could last a day or more? The scheduler I spoke with seemed unsure on whether or not any testing would be scheduled in the days following a consultation. I got the impression it might depend on the Dr and what the medical circumstances were. Thank you!

Hi
I have been going to Mayo for 8 years
They use a team approach
Best thing to do is just come well rested and be ready for lots of testing and appointments!
Were you seen at the Mayo for osteoporosis? That would be the reason I am interested in going there.
To clarify my question about Mayo Clinic Rochester, I am specifically looking for feedback from anyone who went there for osteoporosis. Thanks!
@ripley I see an endocrinologist at Mayo in Rochester for osteoporosis. I was already a patient at Mayo so this came through a referral within Mayo Clinic. I saw the doctor first for a consultation that was very thorough. He then ordered testing based on the consultation that included a blood draw and a bone density scan. I'd had a bone density scan about 18 months before at Mayo so he had comparison bone density results. When I saw him a few weeks after our initial appointment we could have met virtually but I was already at Mayo Clinic for other appointments. I'm scheduled to see the doctor again in September for my one year follow-up. A bone density scan is scheduled and I will meet with him again.
