Mass found in transverse colon

Posted by tamobillings @tamobillings, 4 days ago

Hi, I’m 53 and had colonoscopy after thinking I had a gluten intolerance to find out there was a blockage that was a mass in my transverse colon. There is no family history and I previously had a normal colonoscopy 7 years ago. I have a follow up to learn the biopsy report and I guess to find out what’s next. I do know surgery will happen no matter what but I’m not sure what I should be asking ?? I guess wait to get the final pathology report? I’m healthy workout 3-4 times a week, don’t drink, don’t smoke. I’m still just shocked

I think that's one of the times where a "wait and see" approach and awaiting the pathology report is proper.

It's hard to do so without feeling some sense of fear/dread/panic - the main thing is to understand at this point is whether cancer or something else, it is very likely to be treatable.

All the best to you.

The report said Infiltrative and when I look this up it keep saying metastatic… I won’t know until we meet this week for biopsies and I’m trying to not Google it for sure… thank you, yes I need to wait and see.

Tamo, how do you know surgery will happen?
