Lupron side effects a year after one injection
I’m experiencing whole body hot flashes a full year after receiving a Lupron 6 ( supposedly) month shot a year ago this past August ,about a month or two before my radiation therapy last fall.
Has anyone experienced a similar side effect?

The problem is your testosterone is not Recovering. Have you had your testosterone checked? It’s a simple test they do for me every month.. My brother had radiation and was on Lupron for about a year. His hot flashes continued for about nine months after he stopped Lupron. He was 75 and the older you are the longer it takes for testosterone to come back for many people.
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the info, much appreciated , I think my testosterone is very low but the folks I’m working with don’t do monthly tests. I also think I might have been given a longer lasting Lupron shot than the 6 month shot they told me it was.

Actually, the six month shot is the maximum shot you can get of Lupron.
Getting your testosterone back could be so variable, One person gets it back in a couple of months because they were on Orgovyx. Another person takes a year to a year and a half, And there’s no logical reason, but that’s just what it takes. I know some people who have gotten annoyed and had testosterone injections to speed it up. That can be real risky, and many doctors don’t want to do it.
Give it a little more time, Keep track what the test results are showing, Maybe it Shows it is coming back it’s just not as fast as desired.
