Lupron and blood counts
Inquiring minds would like to know lol, I finished my 43 radiation treatments two weeks ago, just had my third 3 month Lupron shot. Of course when they give the shot they do the blood work , I have a lot low counts in my results ie....
Lymphocytes at .06 , I expected this when I went through my Lymphoma treatments , ( chemo) but is it normal for your blood counts to be below average? I have been dizzy, getting the sweats, and shortage of breath from any prolong activities. I will ask my oncologist but its the weekend. Any info would be helpful thanks

Yes, your blood counts can be low due to taking the cancer drugs.
Lupron can cause problems like dizziness, fatigue, shortness of breath, and hot flashes, which makes you sweat.
I work with a personal trainer at the gym one day a week and when I’m working with her, the sweat is constantly dripping off my forehead, soaking my hair and down my back.. I don’t feel hot flashes at that time but, I am soaked in sweat by the time I’m done. My personal trainer says it’s got to be the drugs because most people don’t do that.
All due to low testosterone caused by drugs like Lupron.
Thanks for the response!
I've had an RP, salvage RT (38 fractions) and have been on ADT/doublet therapy for a total of ~30 months. My CBC numbers have been out of whack, especially WBC count and lymphocytes. Both below the lower test limit at times. I suspect this is due to the radiation affecting bone marrow but it could also be due to the ADT. Those numbers appear to be trending upwards which is good.
Thanks ! Makes sense
