Low brain energy frontal lobe…supplements to take..

Posted by lgrec @lgrec, 5 days ago

Does anyone else get low brain energy, specifically in the frontal lobe region? And if so, what’s a good supplement to take? I tend to get issues with this from allergies (especially in the Spring), a tweak in my back, and/or when I’m physically exhausted..etc. I get extreme brain fog, dizziness, depression, and zaps my motivation just to name a few. Let me know if anyone has any remedies. Thank you!

I take phosphaitidlyserine https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0165032724016203, but if you read any of my posts you'll understand that there is no guarantee.
I find that sudafed helps with the spring fog. You have to ask the pharmacist for it. They've sequestered it behind the counter.

@lgrec Can you explain how you concluded that your symptoms are caused by low brain energy and not the histamine release and symptoms of the allergies or the actual physical effect of exhaustion?

Have you confirmed that you are adequately hydrated, maintaining good nutrition and getting adequate restful sleep? These are the basics that help maintain our health even when under stress.
And for those who suffer from seasonal allergies, there are many choices of non-sedating medications that not only relieve the symptoms, but block the histamine overload that can cause the "fog" you describe.

If you suffer symptoms frequently, maybe you can get a thorough physical, with complete bloodwork, to determine whether you have any correctable vitamin or mineral deficiencies or unknow health problems.

"It appears that some histamine is necessary for alertness, learning and motivation, but too much histamine shuts the system down, in MCs and histaminergic neurons, by activating H3 autoinhibitory receptors leading to brain “fog” (Table 1)."

Allergies is definitely one of the issues. My allergist said I need to get on shots. I have a lot of issues with my lower back, hips and knees too. It just constant inflammation. Today is a bad allergy day and my brain feels inflamed.
